Where will you go??

 As you take the untrodden road, you find you're simply not walking this trail alone, but that there are angels round about you. 

I have thought long and hard about this poem now for a few days. As I have reflected personally on my own life. I have seen where I have taken that road less traveled, and I have also seen times when I have taken the easy road and have just been mediocre.

Let's go over to the road less traveled for a minute. What does this road have to offer us besides- leaf covered potholes, muddy shoes, annoying bugs, and even at times a loss of direction. Why would one ever decide to take that road?? Well to start off I want to share these quotes-

Its those hard things that we really do need most in our lives. If we always had it easy how much growth could we really obtain?? That's the real question.. Where will the road "usually taken" take us?.... Well in reality it will just take us in a circle, and until we get sick of seeing the same results, we'll be trapped, and for some that's fine, but for others, they want to grow and become something more than just the usual/normal. If we want something memorable, unique, awesome, or even successful, then we must take that road less traveled, but remember- It's your choice where you end up in life.

   

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

To wrap this up I just want to say that this really applies to so many things, but one area that I personally want to relate it to is the Gospel. I have seen so many times in my life where I, myself, or others have taken that easy road and have fallen into the conforming ways of the world. On this road values such as modesty, good language, kindness, and obedience (etc.) tend to fall by the wayside. The goal of becoming more like our perfect example, Jesus Christ, becomes forgotten....  I can promise you this though- As you take the untrodden road to righteousness, you find you're simply not walking this trail alone, but that there are angels sent from our Heavenly Father round about you. I know that this is true, because I have felt them there in my life. :)

Let me say this, it's never easy to go the opposite way of the world (in any situation), but at some moments we have to do so...  I have been in that intersection many times, and for you that are there.. I pray for you. I hope that you will make the best choice possible and you will have the courage to do so!!  :) And that you will never lose your faith, whether you are smoothly staking your course, or in the woods lost and confused with bug-bites... know that God is always there to lead you where he wants you to be. :)
